Valiyaparamba Backwaters

Valiyaparamba is a backwater attraction located in the Kasargod district of gods own country Kerala. Spread by 4 rivers speckled by numerous
of small islands, Valiyaparamba is unbelievably mounting as an exceptional backwater resort which grant enchanting boat cruises. It is a small island of Arabian Sea. Moreover, it is a perfect location for picnic and by far the most enchanting backwater stretch in Kerala captivating tourists from different parts of India and other countries. It is a neighborhood divided from the mainland, noted for fishing centers in all of Kasargod. Bekal Hole Aqua Park: Bekal Hole Aqua Park is positioned near Valiyaparamba in Bekal. It is an ideal location for water sport freaks who desire to chill out amidst the display of matchless water sports. 

Bekal fort: This 300 years aged fort is situated in Kerala, covering an area of more than 40 acres. The stunning features of this fort are the tanks that grasp a trip of steps and the channel entrancing towards the south. According to a legend, the Bekal fort was primarily built by the Kolathiri Rajas and further fascinated by Sivappa Nayak in 1690’s. 

Madhur Sreemad Anantheswara Vinayaka Temple: Positioned at a distance of 8 km northeast of Kasaragod town on the banks of Madhuvahini River, it is one of the most significant Ganapathy temples in South India. The vital magnetism of this temple are its distinctive three-tiered dome, copper-plated roofing and a confined court rises. This temple is devoted to Maha Ganapathy and the idol is made of alluvial soil. This idol was later set-up in the temple and that’s how the Madhur Mahalingeswara Temple (dedicated to Lord Siva) became Madhur Mahaganapathi Temple. 

Nearest Visiting Places: 

Ranipuram: Formerly known as Madathumala this place is located 780 meters above the sea level and is positioned 80 km away from Kasargod which is 48 km east of Kanhangad. The earthy beauty and plushy green surroundings of this place is akin only to Ooty. 

Nityanandasramam: It is located on a hill about half a km south of the Housdurg Taluk office in Kanhangad. The founder swami Nityananda constructed 45 caves in a peak gradient. There is also a temple which was built in 1963 after the construction techniques of the renowned Somantha temple in Gujarat. 

Chandragiri Fort: Located on the meeting point of Payaswini River and Arabian Sea, this fort was constructed by Tipu Sulthan of Mysore in the 17th century. The castle stands on a hummock facing towards the prospect offering spectacular views of the river, the Arabian Sea and the tiny adjoining islands and also the Palm Groves. You can also enjoy boat riding and sun dawn from this fort. 

There are several other places for enchantment like: Kanwateertha Beach (pool formed of sea in the vast beach), Ananthapura Lake Temple (only Lake Temple in Kerala), Hosdurg / Kanhangad Fort etc. 

The nearest airport is Karipur International Airport at 50 km distance from this place and the nearest railhead is Cheruvathur Railway Station. Buses are easily available from airports and railway stations. This place is well connected by road to major cities like: Kozhikode, Chennai, Bengaluru, Thiruvananthapuram, Coimbatore, Koorg, Mysore, and various other places. The island is separated from the main land so you can either use a boat service or cross the Mavila Kadappuram Bridge to reach the main land.
